Dhanush claims copyright in ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’
Actor Dhanush has filed a lawsuit against Nayanthara for alleged copyright infringement involving characters and costumes from the 2015 film ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’. The case, argued by Dhanush's lawyer, senior advocate PS Raman, is currently before the Madras High Court. Dhanush's production house, Wunderbar Films, claims BTS footage was used without permission in Nayanthara's documentary. They seek Rs10 crores in compensation. Netflix, the platform that released the documentary, has requested the case’s dismissal citing jurisdiction issues.
